On September 04, 2010 exactly 6 years after it's inception Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Dallas, USA celebrated Shree Krushna Janamashtami. The utsav commenced with santos performing Kirtan Bhakti. Kirtan Bhakti was followed by cultural acts by the students of Baalika, Ghanshyam and Neelkanth group. The most surprising and pleasant event of the evening came in the form of a drama 'Bhaktaraj Abhaysih', performed by the members of 'Yuva Sabha'. Finally the evening concluded with Aarti and Raas. Our scriptures have narrated the importance of pilgrimage. Lord Shree Swaminarayan has also commanded in Shikshapatri to their followers to go for a pilgrimage to places such as Dwarika, once in a year. 50 years ago, by following the command of Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Gurudev Shashtriji Maharaj first initiated the pilgrimage through Special Train in the Swaminarayan sect and so far 8 successful pilgrimages were successfully organized through special trains. On the occasion of Golden Jubilee of the initiation of such special pilgrimage train, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Rajkot is planning to organize 9th Special pilgrimage train during 14/08/2010 to 05/09/2010.
